Downtown Eaton is a non-profit, 501c3 organization dedicated to serving Eaton, Ohio by supporting and promoting downtown businesses and engaging the community.
They host events throughout the year including the Downtown Saturday Nite Car Show and a Community Fun Fest.
The program has undergone several student-led rebrands over the years. Notably, the organization has consistently incorporated Miami University's signature red and white color palette, along with modern sans-serif typefaces, to maintain a cohesive and professional visual identity.

Primary Icon Design: The client provided examples from Troy Main Street, Downtown Dayton Partnership, Downtown Indianapolis, and Main Street Greenville. The new icon combines the "D" and "E" with bold lettering. The general layout of the icon loosely resembles the state flag of Ohio.

The proposed logo features a primary color palette of black, white, and Miami Red, aligning with the university’s official brand guidelines. This ensures seamless integration with other branded materials while maintaining a strong visual identity.
Additionally, the logo incorporates a subtle red gradient, adding depth and a three-dimensional effect reminiscent of design elements commonly used by major broadcast networks.

These mockups illustrate the potential application of the logo in live broadcasts, demonstrating its versatility across various on-screen elements, including title graphics, lower-third overlays, and segment watermarks.
The use of the Proxima Nova typeface ensures consistency across branded materials while providing accessibility for students within the organization. As Proxima Nova is available through Google Fonts, members can freely incorporate it into web and social media content, maintaining a cohesive visual identity.
